JIO : Towards Production of 4G Laptops - IS Connectivity FREE ?

Having successfully created a massive customer base of a 100 million users in just a mere 170 days, Reliance now plans a Jio powered laptop. So far, it's safe to say this 2nd venture will be a another game changer, in not just the telecom, but the Indian electronics market as a whole, should it click the same as it's predecessor, the Jio 4G SIM.

The laptop will be provided with an internal Jio 4G SIM, which can provide an internet access without having to connect to any external wireless network, LAN cable or any dongles. Reportedly, VoLTE calls facility will also be available on the device

The specifications are as follows : -

Display:                               A 13.3 inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display  with 16:9 aspect ratio.

SIM Card Slot:                     The laptop is provided with a SIM card slot.

Camera:                               High Definition Camera, specifically engineered for video calling.

Processor:                           Intel Pentium quad core processor.

RAM:                                  4GB RAM

Storage:                              128GB of SSD Storage and 64GB of eMMC storage.

Thickness:                          12.2mm

Weight:                               1.2 kg

Operating System: Windows OS/ Chrome OS(Unconfirmed)

Additional features:  Bluetooth, USB 3.0 ports, Micro HDMI Port, Micro SD card slot.

Price: N/A.

Reports suggest that the device will built by Foxcomm, a brand which previously built similar devices for InFocus

In Indi,  where connectivity is an inconvenience everyone faces, a laptop which provides a direct 4G connection is an extraordinarily bold step and we sincerely hope it succeeds.
